Vision2Hire Solutions puts French, Verisign™ Security
and Reporting Features into Version 4.1
VANCOUVER (April 05, 2001) - Vision2Hire Solutions has launched the 4.1 version of its flagship product Vision2Hire™, bringing a French language option, Verisign™ security, reporting features and customization wizards to enhance its web-based applicant response management solution for Human Resource professionals.
For Avon Canada, based in Montreal, the launch of Vision2Hire’s French release means that Human Resources recruiter Daniel Palacios can complete his corporate hiring center and get on with the business of building a central candidate database that integrates applications submitted by both French- and English-speaking applicants across Canada.
"Vision2hire allows us to create a single, centralized database of all candidates applying to Avon, whether in English or French" says Palacios, who estimates that Avon hires 60 to 70 new permanent employees a year.
"All the efficiency of applicant tracking and response management would be lost if we had a wall between our English and French candidates and had to run separate reports to get a picture of our recruiting activity overall."
Reporting capability is an important core feature of applicant response management. It enables hiring managers to justify recruitment spending and calculate return on investment to address the bottom-line priorities of senior management. In advance of releasing its full suite of reporting features, Vision2Hire has incorporated four new reports into version 4.1 - to identify which posting sites are generating the most applications, to track applicants through the hiring cycle, to identify new hires across the whole organization and to tally the number of short-listed applicants for a given period.

In preparing for the launch of version 4.1, Vision2Hire installed powerful new Sun servers to support 128-bit VeriSign encryption and migration to the Oracle database.
Applicant response management, also known as applicant tracking, has seen a huge growth in popularity among hiring managers in the year since Vision2Hire first entered the market, according to John Boddie, chief executive officer of Vision2Hire Solutions. Since taking the helm of Vision2Hire one year ago, Mr. Boddie has observed a massive increase in awareness of applicant response management within the Human Resources sector, with the sharpest increase during the past six months.
